Documentary “The Beautiful kashgar” offers a new perspective on the wonders of southern Xinjiang, the first panoramic, high-definition shot of China's western frontier city. The documentary consists of four 40-minute episodes. It tells the cultural history, mountains and rivers, culture and folk customs and rich products of bachu, zep, Yecheng, Shache and other counties in kashgar, intersperses historical documents, folk tales with real people and current stories, presenting this beautiful and rich, vast and magical oasis to the world, and depicting a magnificent picture. In order to make this documentary a success, SMG documentary channel had three film crews who went to Xinjiang for several times to mingle with the local people. They also went deep into many areas where no TV workers had ever set foot, recording the life of the frontier people and the little-known topography.

The Maritime Silk Road documentary series, with vivid and real footage, records the legendary stories of people in these countries who stick to, explore, struggle and pursue their dreams. It will also demonstrate the far-reaching impact of the building of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road on the social and economic development and cultural prosperity of countries along the route from multiple perspectives including shipping, economy and trade, science and technology, culture, migration and dreams.
