The program focuses on the disaster relief painting and calligraphy auction organized by Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute for the Wenchuan Earthquake in Sichuan. On May 12, 2008, a devastating earthquake struck Wenchuan, Sichuan, touching the hearts of all Chinese people. In June, the Shanghai Senior Citizens Foundation and Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute held an adisaster relief painting and calligraphy auction.
