The Shanghai Cultural Relics Commission held an award ceremony. Yang Kai, deputy director of the Shanghai Revolutionary Committee, gave Gu Kaishi and Chengyan awards and prizes on behalf of the Municipal Revolutionary Committee, in recognition of their donation of 225 pieces of cultural relics they have collected for many years to the country.
